Client sells luxury and high-end fixtures and furnishing materials to contractors, including various types of flooring.Problem
Before Fledgling, Client's customers had to do complex callculations to determine how many boxes of each tile they would need to cover their desired area, with a given extra margin for waste, and to then determine the cost and evaluate whether to purchase based on those factors. This was a major pain point for their customers, especially if they wanted to compare costs for tiles of different sizes, and prices, and quantity per box. Ultimately this level of complexity slowed the purchasing process and reduced sales. Client wanted to make the process easier for their customers by providing a tool that would perform the calculations for them in seconds.,Solution
Fledgling built a tool embedded in Client's BigCommerce Theme that would use the tile-size and tile price per box from each tile product's data and only require the customer to input their desired square-feet and % extra margin. The tool would then calculate the number of boxes needed, the total cost, the cost per square foot, and the exact square-feet of waste that would be left over.Get in Touch
